Half a spring chicken marinated with our special mix of yoghurt, herbs and spices – this dish is best served with a fresh soft nan bread. As with all our tandoori dishes, this is lower in fat and calories than our curries so definitely one to devour if you’re watching what you eat!

Featured Dish – Lamb Tikka Kebab
Also available with chicken, our tikka kebab is marinated with yoghurt, herbs and spices before being cooked in our tandoor (clay oven). Served with green peppers and onions, this is another great healthy alternative to a curry. Ideally served with a light fluffy nan bread is the perfect option but rice will do too!
Featured Dish – Pathia
The second of this month’s Featured Dishes is also from our Menu’s Classic section. Whilst it may look like another of our popular chicken curries, Madras, this is a slightly less spicy dish with it’s sweet and sour sauce.
Featured Dish – Malayan
Our Malayan dish is another exotic and mild dish similar to last month’s Featured Dish – Kashmiri. If you’re looking for something different to your regular spicy curries, this is one to try with it’s fruity flavours.
Featured Dish – Kashmiri
Kashmir is located in North India. The cuisine is distinctive in its generous use of curds in the gravy sauce, giving the dish a creamy consistency. The Clay Oven’s own Kashmiri featured dish contains fresh lychees and sliced banana, blended with exotic tropical spices. This delicious meal is best complimented with both any type of [...]
Featured Dish – Dupiaza
According to legend, the Dupiaza dish was created when a courtier of Mughal Emperor ‘Akbar Mullah Do Piaza’ accidentally added a large amount of onions to a dish. Featured Dish – Madras
This dish is named after the southern Indian city of Madras. Although Madras is now known as Chennai – this dish has maintained its traditional name and reputation and is one to try. Notoriously spicy, this is a dish that combines the sharpness of lemon juice, the intense flavour of garlic and the heat of [...]
Featured Dish – Dansak
Traditionally the Dansak is a lamb based curry (though chicken is pictured!) – and there is little question that tender lamb works perfectly with the mixture of rich lentils, ginger, garlic, cumin and other herbs and spices that make up this classic dish. The lentils give the sauce a thickness that makes this ideal for [...]
Featured Dishes – March
Our two dishes for March are two dishes that regular Curry fans will recognise – the Dansak and the Madras. These are two stars of the classics section of our menu and can be enjoyed with meat, vegetables or prawns depending on your preference. Dansak Madras
Featured Dish – Rogan Josh
A curry whose name literally translates as hot oil – we reckon that the name alone may make up many peoples minds! This is undeniably another dish with heat – and including pimentos amongst the ingredients guarantees a certain piquancy! This is a classic chicken or lamb dish – and one to delight – with [...]
