Edinburgh Mela 2010
From 6th to 8th August, the city welcomes the Edinburgh Mela to its new location at Leith Links. The Mela is an Annual celebration of Asian culture – popular in cities all across the UK – but we think the Edinburgh Mela is the best!
The Edinburgh Mela this year is focussing on the universal need to migrate. The festival is three days of live music, dancing, children’s activities, outdoor activities and authentic foods from all around the world. Highlights will include a fashion show with a Harris Tweed theme including designer saris, and “Naturally Inspired,” the Mela’s first cross festival collaboration, which will see it joining forces with the International Jazz and Storytelling festivals.
The weathermen are claiming that the weekend will be sunny – so what a chance to get out and enjoy the experience. After all that Asian culture – why not come and see us on the Sunday to celebrate with us – and enjoy our fantastic celebration of Indian food with our weekly Sunday buffet (£9.95 for adults and £5.95 for kids).
