Featured Dishes – February
Hot Dishes for February This month’s Featured Dishes are a couple of warmers. This cold winter seems reluctant to release it’s grasp on Edinburgh – so anything to keep up warm just has to be appreciated! Here are a couple of dishes that will help put the hairs back on your chest (if that is [...]
Featured Dish – Chana Massallam
What can we say about this dish – it’s like a vegetarian picnic. Chick peas, lentils and egg are combined with a range of herbs and spices and the distinct taste of fresh coriander.
Featured Dish – Panir Pasanda
This is as smooth as can be. We home make our Indian Panir Cheese and marinate it to imbue it with flavour. This delicately flavoured cheese is then cooked in a mild and creamy sauce rich with almonds.
Featured Dish – Alo Gosht
This is a dish with a bit more spice – but nothing too major. A curry with beautifully cooked potato (aloo) and lamb (gosht) and a sauce flavoured with delightful fresh herbs and spices. Enjoy this with a few chapattis – they are perfect wrapped around it!
Featured Dish – Chicken Pasanda
This is a delicate dish that just calls out to be eaten with naan – the creamy almondy sauce just begging to be soaked up and enjoyed. Whether you opt for the lamb or chicken option – the meat will have been marinated to add flavour and create a perfect dish.
Featured Dish – Makkhani Murgh
Our first dish is a buttery delight. There is something incredible about the taste of butter in a dish, and when it is the base of a mildly spiced sauce wrapping itself around perfectly cooked chicken kebabs it takes on a further dimension. Serve this dish on lovely rice and love it.
Featured Dishes – December
This month we’re going to tell you about three great dishes. None of them are too spicy, but all of them are classics of Indian cuisine and are just asking to be enjoyed. Makkhani Murgh Lamb or Chicken Pasanda Alo Gosht
